🦮 Large · Great Britain (England)
An athletic British pointing dog with a short coat, friendly temperament, and strong hunting drive that requires an unusually large amount of physical and mental exercise.

Energetic, friendly, and hunting-focused. Rarely aggressive, but with a pronounced drive for exercise and activity.
Very high exercise needs, met with long runs, cycling, or fieldwork. Without sufficient activity, the breed tends toward behavioral problems.
Short, low-maintenance coat; occasional brushing is enough. Regular ear checks are recommended.
Not suitable for beginners. Experienced, athletic owners with access to hunting or dog-sport outlets are a prerequisite.
The deep chest raises the risk of bloat; hip dysplasia also occurs. Overall a robust breed when given appropriate exercise.
