Souldog currently lists 20,751 dog friendly places in Germany. Of those, 9,657 are outing destinations like dog parks, city parks, cafes, restaurants, swimming lakes, and hiking trails, 5,822 are vets, and 5,147 are stores that welcome dogs. There are also places listed in Austria, Switzerland, and Cyprus.
What does Souldog cost?
The app is free. The map with all dog friendly places, search, and filters work without a subscription. There's an optional subscription, Souldog Plus, for extended health and nutrition features. It isn't needed to find places.
What kinds of dog friendly places will I find?
Cafes and restaurants that welcome dogs, dog parks and off-leash areas, city parks and forests, dog beaches and swimming lakes, hiking trails, dog friendly hotels and campgrounds, dog training schools, vets, and pet stores. The biggest group, with 1,075 entries, is dog parks.
Where does the place data come from?
The base data is open geodata from OpenStreetMap, curated, categorized, and deduplicated for Souldog. The list is also expanded with places that users suggest in the app, which get reviewed before they go live. Wrong entries can be reported directly in the app.
Does Souldog work outside Germany?
Yes. Besides Germany, places in Austria, Switzerland, and Cyprus are included. Germany currently has the strongest focus and the densest coverage.
Do I need an account to see places?
No. You can browse the map as a guest. You only need a free account to save places, rate them, suggest your own places, or use the community features.
As of October 2026. The numbers update daily straight from the Souldog database. Places in Austria, Switzerland, and Cyprus are also included. Place data based on © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), curated and expanded by Souldog. Whether a place allows dogs can change: when in doubt, call ahead.
