Souldog currently lists 20,456 dog friendly places in Germany. Of those, 9,362 are outing destinations like dog parks, city parks, cafes, restaurants, swimming lakes, and hiking trails, 5,822 are vets, 5,147 are stores that welcome dogs, and 125 are shelters. There are also places listed in Austria, Switzerland, and Cyprus.
The app is free and ad-free. The map with all dog friendly places, search, and filters work without a subscription. There's an optional subscription, Souldog Plus, for extended health and nutrition features; it isn't needed to find places.
Cafes and restaurants that welcome dogs, dog parks and off-leash areas, city parks and forests, dog beaches and swimming lakes, hiking trails, dog friendly hotels and campgrounds, dog training schools, vets, pet stores, and animal shelters. The biggest group, with 3,173 entries, is dog parks.
The base data is open geodata from OpenStreetMap, curated, categorized, and deduplicated for Souldog. The list is also expanded with places that users suggest in the app, which get reviewed before they go live. Wrong entries can be reported directly in the app.
Yes. Besides Germany, places in Austria, Switzerland, and Cyprus are included. Germany currently has the strongest focus and the densest coverage.
No. You can browse the map as a guest. You only need a free account to save places, rate them, suggest your own places, or use the community features.
