Who is behind the Souldog guides and the places map, where the information comes from and how to report a mistake.
Souldog is a free app and website for days out with your dog. A small team builds the map of more than 20,000 dog friendly places in Germany and writes the guides on this blog. Souldog is operated by AuraMedia Agency LTD; the full legal notice is in the Impressum.
We check every statement on health, nutrition and toxins against veterinary reference sources, including the MSD/Merck Veterinary Manual, the WSAVA guidelines, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center and the toxicology database of the University of Zurich. Each article lists the sources it relies on.
Rules on leashes, dog tax or public transport in our city guides come from official sources: municipal ordinances, state law and the conditions of carriage of the transport networks.
We are not a veterinary practice. Our guides are carefully researched but do not replace an examination. If your dog shows acute or persistent symptoms, contact your vet.
Places come from public map data, from the businesses themselves and from suggestions by the community. We review suggestions before they appear on the map. House rules can change, so ask on site whether your dog is welcome.
Every article shows when it was published and last updated. When rules or veterinary guidance change, we update the text.
Found a mistake, or a place is no longer accurate? Write to us at souldog.alice@gmail.com. We check every report and correct what is wrong.
