🐕 Medium · France
An intelligent, eager-to-learn medium-sized poodle with a curly coat that needs mental stimulation and adapts to many roles.

The Medium Poodle is considered highly intelligent, eager to learn, and closely bonded to its owner. It is generally friendly toward people and other dogs and rarely aggressive.
Exercise needs are moderate to high; combined with mental activities such as trick training or scent work, the breed shows its full potential. Physical exercise alone, without mental work, does not do justice to the Poodle's intelligence.
The curly coat grows continuously and must be clipped every six to eight weeks and brushed several times a week to prevent matting. The breed is considered comparatively allergy-friendly due to minimal shedding.
The Medium Poodle is well suited for beginners, being cooperative, eager to learn, and generally easy to train. The regular clipping effort should still be firmly factored in from the start.
Breed-typical conditions include patellar luxation, progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), and ear infections caused by the drop ears. Regular eye exams and ear checks are recommended.
