High exercise and activity needs; enjoys working independently in hunting or tracking work.
The medium-length, silky coat with feathering needs regular brushing; ears should be checked regularly.
The independent character requires consistent, patient training. Better suited to experienced, active owners than to beginners.
Hip dysplasia, gastric torsion, progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), and hypothyroidism occur in the breed.
