Very high exercise needs with long daily activity. Field work or dog sports suit the breed's nature well.

Grooming

Suitable for beginners?

The friendly temperament makes handling easier, but the very high activity requirement means the breed only suits active owners with plenty of time.

Health & common problems

Gastric torsion and hip dysplasia occur, and some lines also show deafness and hypothyroidism.
