🦮 Large · France
The Braque d'Auvergne is an elegant French pointing dog with a blue-and-white coat, an enduring nose, high work drive, and a friendly, family-oriented temperament at home.

The Braque d'Auvergne is gentle, affectionate, and strongly people-oriented, yet focused and tireless during hunting work. It is usually friendly and easygoing with strangers.
Its exercise needs are very high; long runs and retrieving or pointing training are ideal. Without sufficient activity, the breed becomes restless or destructive.
The short, firm coat is easy to care for, and occasional brushing suffices. Ears and paws should be checked for injury after hunting.
The high exercise and occupational needs make the Braque d'Auvergne more suitable for hunters or very active sporting owners.
The breed is generally considered robust and healthy; hip dysplasia and ear infections caused by the drop ears occur occasionally.
