Temperament & character

The American Cocker Spaniel is affectionate, people-oriented and eager to learn, responding sensitively to harsh handling. Its temperament is friendly and not prone to conflict.

Exercise & stimulation

Daily walks and play are usually enough for it; compared to working spaniels its exercise needs are moderate.

Grooming

The long, silky coat needs regular brushing and a professional trim every four to six weeks; the drop ears should be checked routinely.
